Oh Yes, Mais Non!

A story about expat parents being raised by their children.

Peanut Butter et Confiture - Five families living in a French/American cultural tug-of-war in Paris and L.A. Culture is passed from parents to children across generations. What happens when two clashing cultures collide in the marriage of a French individual with an American and children are brought into a bicultural home where parenting styles and values must be negotiated?

Peanut Butter et Confiture is a film about five families raising kids in-between cultures in Paris and Los Angeles. Entering into these families' lives inside and outside of the home, we see the merging of two Western cultures with very different views of parenthood, family, and child raising. French moms chauffeuring their kids around to soccer practices and pee-wee football games, and American dad's learning to cook five-course lunches for their kids, peanut butter and jelly not allowed. Peanut Butter et Confiture highlights the at times difficult and messy situations of both parents and their kids, working their ways through the tangled web of French and American cultures, and into the construction of a bicultural identity.
